Fall is a Beautiful Time of Year in Gettysburg

This past weekend was the end of the Apple Harvest Festival and Gettysburg and the fairgrounds were filled with visitors.  It was really amazing!  The announcer at the Festival apologized to everyone at the Festival because there were so many people!  It was a beautiful weekend, the weather was sweet and guests were happy to be here.

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

"WELCOME TO UNDERLAND"

The Gaslight Inn is proud to welcome back the Pyrotechnotics for a special Halloween show.  Free for our guests and open to the public, "Welcome to Underland" will feature fire dancing, fire eating and fire breathing.  The show is on October 29th and will start at 8:30 p.m. on the back lawn of the Inn.  We hope to see you there!!

On Sunday, November 6th, The Majestic Theater will present The L.A. Theater Works production of  "The Rivalry," Norman Corwin's riveting drama of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. This epic clash of ideas and oratory forged America's view of race, freedom and state's rights.  Shannon Cochran directs Robert Parsons and Josh Clark as Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas, heated rivals for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois.  Rebecca Mozo co-stars as Adele, the young wife of Senator Douglas through whose lens we witness the proceedings.  The Gaslight Inn is offering a dinner package which includes a $50 gift card to use toward dinner and 2 tickets for The Rivalry.  The total for the package is $110 (lodging is in addition).  Call the Inn @ 800-914-5698 to make your reservations.

And, last, but certainly not least, to thank those who have fought to preserve our freedoms in these United States, we are offering a free night stay Friday, November 11th with November 12th at our regular price but with our 15% military discount.  Ivy and Sweet William rooms are available for this offer and have been taken out of circulation so please call the Inn to check their availability.  A valid military I.D. is required.  Our phone number is 800-914-5698.

Have a wonderful fall and I'll catch you up in a couple of weeks to let you know about Thanksgiving plans and the Holiday House Tour.

Becky
